You are cordially invited to join us for a Picnic with Gemeinschaft Home, an online fundraising event, in honor of our 35th anniversary.
Rather than the usual large, indoor gathering for our annual banquet, we are providing a picnic meal, with curbside pickup service, and a special video broadcast for attendees to enjoy from the safety of their homes. The event will take place over two nights, and it is your choice which evening you would like to attend. The picnic meal will feature a summer barbecue fare, with the option of chicken, beef,  vegetarian, or vegan.

There is no cost to attend, but we suggest a minimum $35 donation toward our 2020 Vision for the Future Campaign.

Day Reporting Center is Launched
Monday, January 18, 2016
Harrisonburg, Va (Gemeinschaft Home) The Day Reporting Center, a collaboration with the City of Harrisonburg, Rockingham County, and Gemeinschaft Home, has now opened, with participants already being referred through court services. The program will include programming for women and men,.

While Gemeinschaft Home is a private organization re-entry program is partially funded through reimbursements from the state, based on the number of residents residing in the house (35-40 individuals at any given time).

$1000 (or the option to loan $1000, to be repaid by the end of 2020). You will receive a promissory note for the full amount to be redeemed with 36 months from the date of your contribution.

We did a similar campaign in 2011, to fund an efficient furnace system to heat and provide hot water for the home, which has resulted in significant cost savings to the organization. At the end of the three-year period, the loans were repaid in-full, from a fund created by Gemeinschaft Home and added to for this purpose each month (most individuals even decided later to turn their loan into a gift).
